Trouble detection condition– The bypass upper limit sensor (PS35) is not turned ON (blocked) even after the bypass lift-up motor (M28) rotates for a given period of time after the position is switched from stand by position at paper lift-up plate to the feed position.

– The bypass lower limit sensor (PS36) is not turned ON (blocked) even after the bypass lift-up motor (M28) rotates for a given period of time after the position is switched from stand by position at paper lift-up plate to the feed position.

– Bypass upper limit sensor (PS35)
– Bypass lower limit sensor (PS36)
– Bypass set sensor (PS30)
– Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)
– CPU board (CPUB)
– Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between M28-relay CN195B-PFTDB CN9 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the connector of M28 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  3. Check the connector between PS35-relay CN195B-PFTDB CN9 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  4. Check the connector between PS30-relay CN195B-PFTDB CN9 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  5. Check the connector between PS36-relay CN180-relay CN195A-PFTDB CN3 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  6. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  7. PS30 I/O check, sensor check
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN9-9 (ON)
    • Location of electrical component: 17-P
  8. PS35 I/O check, sensor check
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN9-12 (ON)
    • Location of electrical component: 17-P
  9. PS36 I/O check, sensor check
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN3-13 (ON)
    • Location of electrical component: 16-P
  10. M28 load check
    • Check code: 23
    • Multi code: 1, 2
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN9-1 to 2
    • Location of electrical component: 16-P
  11. Replace M28.
  12. PFTDB F30 conduction check.
  13. Replace PFTDB.
  14. Replace CPUB.
  15. Replace BASEB.
