Trouble typeC2357: DV cooling fan failure to turn

Trouble detection conditionThe fan lock signal remains Low for a predetermined continuous period of time while the fan is turning.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts-DV cooling fan (FM19)
-CPU board (CPUB)
-Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between FM19-relay CN804-BASEB CN37E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the fan for possible overload and correct as necessary.
  3. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  4. FM19 load check
    • Check code: 42
    • Multi code: 15, 16
    • Control signal: BASEB CN37E-1 (REM), BASEB CN37E-3 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 24-K
  5. Replace FM19. (Part# A93EM10600)
  6. Replace CPUB. (Part# ACKNH02P03)
  7. Replace BASEB. (Part# ACKNH02101)
