Trouble typeC2650: Main backup media access error

Trouble detection conditionThe re-written data, which has been read out, checked and founded as error, is read out again and found as error.The error was found when reading out the counter value.The main body detects that the backup board is not mounted.

Relevant electrical parts-Backup board (ERB)
-CPU board (CPUB)
-Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between ERB CN1-BASEB CN27E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  3. Replace CPUB. (C450i Part# AA7RH02P02 / C550i Part# AA7PH02P01 / C650i Part# AA7NH02P03)
  4. Replace BASEB. (Part# AA2JH02005)
  5. Replace ERB. (Part# AA2JH00C00)
  6. 1. Replace the current ERB with a new one.
  7. 2. Replace the following components with new ones.
  8. When the transfer belt unit and the fusing unit have been replaced with new ones, perform [Service Mode] -> [Counter] -> [Life] -> [New Release]. When the transfer roller has been replaced with a new one, perform the counter reset in [Service Mode] -> [Counter] -> [Life].
    • Developing unit (C Part# ACV80KD, M Part# ACV80ED, Y Part# ACV808D , K Part# ACV803D)
    • Drum unit (Part# ACV80TD / K ACV80RD)
    • Toner cartridge (C Part# ACV1430 / M Part# ACV1330 / Y Part# ACV1230 / K Part# ACV1130)
    • Transfer belt unit (Part# AA2JR73100)
    • Fusing unit (C650i/C550i Part# AA7NR70200 / C450i Part# AA7RR70700)
    • Transfer roller (Part# AA7NR70400)
    • Feed roller (Tray 1/2 feed roller Part# A64J564101 / Bypass feed roller Part# A00F623201), pick-up roller (Tray 1/2 pick-up roller Part# A64J564201 / Bypass pick-up roller Part# A5C1562200), separation roller (including options) (Tray 1/2 Separation Roller Part# AA2J560000 / Separation Roller Part# AA7N591100)
  9. 3. Turn ON the main power switch and check to see that warm-up is started.
  10. Make sure that malfunction codes other than C2650 or improper IU/TC placement is not detected.
  11. 4. Make the specified readjustments.
  12. If the above actions do not solve the problem, contact KM.
