Trouble typeC3425: Fusing warm-up trouble

Trouble detection condition– The temperature detected by the heating roller temperature sensor/1 (RD1) does not go up a given range of temperature even after a lapse of given period of time after the warm-up has started.

– The temperature detected by the heating roller temperature sensor/2 (RD2) does not go up a given range of temperature even after a lapse of given period of time after the warm-up has started.

– The warm-up does not end within a given period of time from the start of the warm-up.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts– Fusing unit
– Heating roller temperature sensor/1 (RD1)
– Heating roller temperature sensor/2 (RD2)
– Noise filter (NF1)
-CPU board (CPUB)
– Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the fusing unit for correct installation (whether it is secured in position).
  2. Check the open/close operation of the right upper door.
  3. Check the connector between the fusing unit-relay CN807-BASEB CN30E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  4. Check the connector between RD1-relay CN923-relay CN807-BASEB CN30E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  5. Check the connector between RD2-relay CN923-relay CN807-BASEB CN30E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  6. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  7. Replace the fusing unit.
  8. Replace CPUB.
  9. Replace BASEB.
  10. Replace NF1.
