C5372 (bizhub 360i/300i)
Troubleshooting Procedure
- Check for Recommended Resolution
Before starting any troubleshooting steps, verify if a Recommended Resolution is listed for the issue.- Apply Recommended Resolution (if available)
- If a Recommended Resolution exists, use that resolution immediately.
- Do not proceed with the legacy troubleshooting process when a Recommended Resolution is provided.
- Proceed with Legacy Troubleshooting (if no Recommended Resolution)
- If no Recommended Resolution is available, continue with the Legacy Troubleshooting Procedure as outlined in this guide.
Recommended Resolution
Bulletin #14103 addresses C5372 (CPU Temperature Failure) conditions that may occur on bizhub 360i / 300i devices. This issue is most commonly observed when the machine enters Low Power or Sleep mode.

(Link to KB0031906)
The bulletin details the following key points:
- Root Cause
An issue related to CPU thermal management on specific CPU boards. - Required Firmware Countermeasures
Power Control CPU2 firmware updates designed to correct thermal management behavior. - Firmware Compatibility & Installation Order
Supported firmware versions and the mandatory installation sequence to avoid system issues. - Required Software Switch Settings
Specific software switch changes that enable CPU fan operation during low‑power states. - Warnings & Precautions
Critical instructions and cautions to prevent CPU board corruption or damage during the update process.
Available Countermeasure Methods
The bulletin provides two approved implementation paths:
- Remote (RSP) – Specific Procedure
- USB – Specific Procedure
Important Notes
- This bulletin must be reviewed in its entirety before applying any countermeasure.
- Countermeasures should only be applied when C5372 is actively occurring on the device.
