Trouble typeC7163: Registration motor failure

Trouble detection conditionAfter starting the motor, an error is detected for the malfunction detection signal.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts– Registration motor (M2)
– Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between M2-relay CN900-relay CN142-PFTDB CN7 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the connector of M2 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  3. M2 conduction check.
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN7-1 to 4
    • Location of electrical component: 5-P
  4. Replace M2.
  5. Replace PFTDB.
