Trouble typeC5304: Fusing power supply cooling fan failure to turn (bizhub 558)

Trouble detection conditionThe fan lock signal remains HIGH for a predetermined continuous period of time while the fan is turning.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts• Fusing power supply cooling fan (FM12)
• MFP board (MFPB)

 Procedure

  1. Check the connector between FM12-relay CN146-MFPB CN15E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the fan for possible overload and correct as necessary.
  3. FM12 operation check
    • Control signal: MFPB CN15E<A>-16 (REM), MFPB CN15E<A>-18 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 558 16-C, 458 20-C
  4. Replace FM12. (Part# 4139M10000)
  5. Replace MFPB. (558 Part# A9HGH02102 / 458 Part# A9HHH02102)
