Trouble detection conditionThe tray 2 upper limit sensor (PS14) is not turned ON (blocked) even after the set period of time has elapsed after the paper lift-up operation for the drawer began.
Trouble isolationTray 2
Relevant electrical parts-Tray 2 upper limit sensor (PS14)
-Tray 2 lift-up motor (M8)
-Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)

 Procedure

  1. Remove the tray and check to see if a piece of paper is not left inside the machine.
  2. Check the connector between M8-PFTDB CN24 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  3. Check the connector of M8 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  4. Check the connector between PS14-relay CN155B-PFTDB CN12 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  5. PS14 I/O check, sensor check
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN12-17 (ON)
    • Location of electrical component: 4-P
  6. M8 load check
    • Check code: 23
    • Multi code: 5
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN24-10 to 11
    • Location of electrical component: 4-X
  7. Replace M8. (Part# A2X0M12001)
  8. PFTDB F10 conduction check
  9. Replace PFTDB. (Part# A795H00200)
