Trouble typeC225B: PC motor/K failure to turn

C225C: PC motor/K turning at abnormal timing

Trouble detection conditionC225B: The motor lock signal remains HIGH for a predetermined continuous period of time while the motor is turning.

C225C: The motor lock signal remains LOW for a predetermined continuous period of time while the motor is stopping.
Trouble isolation
Relevant electrical parts– Drum unit
– PC motor/K (M18)
– CPU board (CPUB)
– Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between M18-BASEB CN10E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the connector of M18 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  3. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  4. M28 load check
    • Check code: 41
    • Multi code: 5, 6, 7, 8
    • Control signal: BASEB CN10E-10 (REM), BASEB CN10E-13 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 6-K
  5. Replace M18.
  6. Replace the drum unit.
  7. Replace CPUB.
  8. BASEB F9E conduction check.
  9. Replace BASEB.
