Trouble typeC2650: Main backup media access error

Trouble detection condition-The re-written data, which has been read out, checked and founded as error, is read out again and found as error.

-The error was found when reading out the counter value.

-The main body detects that the back up board is not mounted.
Trouble isolation
Relevant electrical parts-Backup board (ERB)
-CPU board (CPUB)
-Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between ERB CN1-BASEB CN27E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  3. Replace CPUB. (Part# ACV7H02P02)
  4. Replace BASEB. (Part# ACV7H02101)
  5. Replace ERB. (Part# AA2JH00C00)
    1. Replace the current ERB with a new one.
    2. Replace the following components with new ones.
    When the transfer belt unit and the fusing unit have been replaced with new ones, perform [Service Mode] -> [Counter] -> [Life] -> [New Release]. When the transfer roller has been replaced with a new one, perform the counter reset in [Service Mode] -> [Counter] -> [Life].

    • Transfer belt unit (Part# AA2JR73100)
    • Fusing unit (Part# AA7NR70200)
    • Transfer roller (Part# AA7NR70400)
    • Feed roller

      Manual bypass tray: (Part# A00F623201)
      Dual Scan Document Feeder: (Part# A00J563600)
    • pick-up roller
      Tray 1-4: (Part# A64J564201)
      Manual bypass tray: (Part# A5C1562200)
      Dual Scan Document Feeder: (Part# 9J07330102)
    • separation roller (including options)
      Tray 1-4: (Part# AA2J560000)
      Manual bypass tray: (Part# AA7N591100)
      Dual Scan Document Feeder: (Part# 9J07340901)

      3. Turn ON the main power switch and check to see that warm-up is started.

      Make sure that trouble codes other than C2650 or improper IU/TC placement is not detected.
      4. Make the specified readjustments.
  6. If the above actions do not solve the problem, contact KM.
