Trouble detection conditionThe fan lock signal remains Low for a predetermined continuous period of time while the fan is turning.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts-Fusing edge cooling fan/Rr (FM22)
-CPU board (CPUB)
-Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between FM22-relay CN163-relay CN161-BASEB CN22E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the fan for possible overload and correct as necessary.
  3. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  4. FM22 load check
    • Check code: 42
    • Multi code: 19, 20
    • Control signal: BASEB CN22E-16 (REM), BASEB CN22E-18 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 13-C
  5. Replace FM22. (Part# AA7NM10H00)
  6. Replace CPUB. (C450i Part# AA7RH02P02 / C550i Part# AA7PH02P01 / C650i Part# AA7NH02P03)
  7. Replace BASEB. (Part# AA7NH02102)
