Trouble type	C5355: Toner cartridge cooling fan’s failure to turn

Trouble detection condition	The fan lock signal remains HIGH for a predetermined continuous period of time while the fan is turning.
Trouble isolation	–
Relevant electrical parts	• Toner cartridge cooling fan (FM4) • Expansion control board (EXCB) • MFP board (MFPB)

 Procedure

 bizhub C658/C558

1. Check the connector between FM4-relay CN78-EXCB CN10 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2. Check the fan for possible overload and correct as necessary.
3. FM4 operation check
   • Control signal: EXCB CN10-1 (REM), EXCB CN10-3 (LOCK)
   • Location of electrical component: 27-T
4. Replace FM4. (Part# 4556M10000)
5. Replace EXCB. (Part# A79JH00500)
6. MFPB F6E or F8E conduction check
7. Replace MFPB. (C458 Part# A79MH02102 / C558 or C658 Part # A79JH02102)

NOTICE

1. Check the connector between FM4-relay CN111-MFPB CN16E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2. Check the fan for possible overload and correct as necessary.
3. FM4 operation check
   • Control signal: MFPB CN16E-2 (REM), MFPB CN16E-3 (LOCK)
   • Location of electrical component: 26-C
4. Replace FM4. (Part# A0EDM10500)
5. Replace MFPB.(C458 Part# A79MH02102 / C558 or C658 Part # A79JH02102)
