Trouble typeC7112: Tray 2 lift-up motor failure

Trouble detection conditionAfter starting the motor, an error is detected for the malfunction detection signal.
Trouble isolationTray 2
Relevant electrical parts– Tray 2 lift-up motor (M8)
– Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between M8-PFTDB CN24 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the connector of M8 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  3. M8 conduction check.
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN24-10 (REM)
    • Location of electrical component: 4-X
  4. Replace M8.
  5. Replace PFTDB.
