Trouble typeC7213: Tray 4 paper feed clutch failure

Trouble detection conditionAfter starting the clutch, an error is detected for the malfunction detection signal.
Trouble isolationTray 4
Relevant electrical parts– Tray 4 paper feed clutch (CL7)
– Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between CL7-relay CN986-relay CN123-relay CN121A-PFTDB CN18 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the connector of CL7 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  3. CL7 conduction check.
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN18-2 (ON)
    • Location of electrical component: 7-X
  4. Replace CL7.
  5. Replace PFTDB.
