Trouble detection conditionThe fuse detection unit detected an error for a predetermined time.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts– Fusing edge cooling fan/1 (FM26)
– Fusing edge cooling fan/2 (FM27)
– Fusing edge cooling fan/3 (FM30)
– Fusing edge cooling fan/4 (FM31)
– Tray 1 lift-up motor (M6)
– Tray 2 lift-up motor (M8)
– Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)

Procedure

  1. PFTDB F22 conduction check.
  2. Check the connector between FM26-relay CN831-relay CN166B-PFTDB CN31 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  3. Check the connector between FM27-relay CN832-relay CN166B-PFTDB CN31 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  4. Check the connector between FM30-relay CN833-relay CN166B-PFTDB CN31 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  5. Check the connector between FM31-relay CN834-relay CN166B-PFTDB CN31 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  6. Check the connector between M6-PFTDB CN25 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  7. Check the connector between M8-PFTDB CN24 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  8. FM26 load check
    • Check code: 42
    • Multi code: 28
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN31-1 to 3
    • Location of electrical component: 4-P
  9. Replace FM26.
  10. FM27 load check
    • Check code: 42
    • Multi code: 28
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN31-4 to 6
    • Location of electrical component: 4-P
  11. Replace FM27.
  12. FM30 load check
    • Check code: 42
    • Multi code: 29
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN31-7 to 9
    • Location of electrical component: 5-P
  13. Replace FM30.
  14. FM31 load check
    • Check code: 42
    • Multi code: 29
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN31-10 to 12
    • Location of electrical component: 5-P
  15. Replace FM31.
  16. M6 load check
    • Check code: 23
    • Multi code: 4
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN25-10, 11
    • Location of electrical component: 3-X
  17. Replace M6.
  18. M8 load check
    • Check code: 23
    • Multi code: 5
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN24-10, 11
    • Location of electrical component: 4-X
  19. Replace M8.
  20. Replace PFTDB.
