Trouble typeCC151: ROM contents error upon startup (MSC)

Trouble detection conditionA fault is detected in a sequence of ROM contents check of the CPU board (CPUB) during starting.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts-Backup board (ERB)

Procedure

  1. Check the ROM version.
  2. Rewrite the firmware.
  3. Check the connector between ERB CN1-BASEB CN20E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  4. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  5. Replace ERB. (Part# AA2JH00C00)

    1. Replace the current ERB with a new one.
    2. Replace the following components with new ones.

    When the transfer belt unit, transfer roller and the fusing unit have been replaced with new ones, carry out the [Service Mode] -> [Counter] -> [Life] -> [New Release].

    • Imaging unit (Part# AAJV01E)
    • Transfer belt unit (Part# ACT9R70300)
    • Fusing unit (Part# ACT9R70100)
    • Transfer roller (Part# AAJRR70500)
    • Feed roller, pick-up roller, separation roller (including options)
    • Tray 1 feed roller: (Part# A64J564101)
    • Manual bypass tray feed roller: (Part# A93E597500)
    • Tray 1 pick-up roller: (Part# A64J564201)
    • Manual bypass tray pick-up roller: (Part# A5C1562200)
    • Tray 1 separation roller: (Part# A11U560000)
    • Separation pad (Part# AAJRR72200)
    • Toner filter (Part# A92E158100)
  6. 3. Turn ON the main power switch and check to see that warm-up is started.
  7. Make sure that malfunction codes other than C2650 or improper IU/TC placement is not detected.
  8. 4. Set the various setting values again.
  9. Replace CPUB. (Part# ACTAH01003)
  10. Replace BASEB. (Part# ACTAH02014)
