Malfunction detection timingAt the sensor check when starting the machine or starting the print, feeding paper size sensor/1 (PS50) or feeding paper size sensor/2 (PS51) is ON.
Relevant parts-Feeding paper size sensor/1 (PS50)
-Feeding paper size sensor/2 (PS51)
-CPU board (CPUB)
–Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Select [Service Mode] -> [State Confirmation] -> [Sensor Check] and check the sensor operation.
  2. Check the connector between PS50-relay CN171-BASEB CN40E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  3. Check the connector between PS51-relay CN171-BASEB CN40E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  4. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  5. Replace CPUB. (C650i Part# AA7NH02P03 / C550i Part# AA7PH02P01 / C450i Part# AA7RH02P02)
  6. Replace BASEB. (Part# AA2JH02005)
