Trouble type– C5104: Transfer belt motor failure to turn

– C5105: Transfer belt motor turning at abnormal timing

Trouble detection condition– C5104: The motor lock signal remains HIGH for a predetermined continuous period of time while the motor is turning.

– C5105: The motor lock signal remains LOW for a predetermined continuous period of time while the motor is stopping.
Trouble isolation
Relevant electrical parts– Transfer belt unit
– Transfer belt motor (M1)
– CPU board (CPUB)
– Base board (BASEB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between M1-BASEB CN10E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the loading status of the transfer belt drive section, and correct as necessary.
  3. Check the transfer belt unit drive gear for proper rotation, and correct as necessary.
  4. Check CPUB for proper installation and correct as necessary.
  5. M1 load check
    • Check code: 46
    • Multi code: 1, 2, 3, 4
    • Control signal: BASEB CN10E-3 (REM), BASEB CN10E-6 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 6-K
  6. Replace M1.
  7. Replace the transfer belt unit.
  8. Replace CPUB.
  9. BASEB F11E conduction check.
  10. Replace BASEB.
