Trouble detection conditionAfter starting the fan, an error is detected for the malfunction detection signal.
Trouble isolation–
Relevant electrical parts– Fusing edge cooling fan/1 (FM26)
– Fusing edge cooling fan/2 (FM27)
– Paper feed/transport drive board (PFTDB)

Procedure

  1. Check the connector between FM26-relay CN831-relay CN166B-PFTDB CN31 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  2. Check the connector between FM27-relay CN832-relay CN166B-PFTDB CN31 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
  3. Check the connector of FM26 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  4. Check the connector of FM27 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary.
  5. FM26 conduction check.
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN31-1 (REM), PFTDB CN31-2 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 4-P
  6. Replace FM26.
  7. FM27 conduction check.
    • Control signal: PFTDB CN31-4 (REM), PFTDB CN31-5 (LOCK)
    • Location of electrical component: 4-P
  8. Replace FM27.
  9. Replace PFTDB.
